Closet work.

Posted by Susan on Nov 28th, 2006

Mommy and RainWe ordered our house without closet hardware; that is, we asked them not to put any shelves or closet rods in any of the closets. Now we need to go back and put stuff into all the closets so that we can put stuff in them. Make sense? Anyways, last night we went cost-comparing to both Home Depot and Lowe’s, and Lowe’s ended up being about fifty cents cheaper per piece… and when you’re buying a couple dozen pieces, it’s worth saving a couple bucks. Plus, we got to the register, and it looked like everything was on sale! Yipee! Anyways, we got half of our closet done, and tonight we’ll work on Rain’s. At least, I’m going to buy the hardware and bring it home… not sure if we’ll get to work on it… Daddy has class tonight. Well, he always has class, but you know what I mean.

Moved in… pretty much.

It's finished! So we have finally moved into the new house. And let me tell you; it is nothing short of absolutely spectacular. The iron fence around the back is beautiful–and lets in a wonderful breeze, which I never would have thought about until the fence contractor mentioned it to me. The kids spent the holiday weekend riding around the walking trail on their bikes, playing baseball and kickball, and even making new friends. We’re lucky enough to have a little girl Rain’s age just two doors down.Course I spent part of my weekend sick, which was no fun, but it was what it was. I’m feeling better now… but then when I walk out to the garage and start seeing all the boxes left to unpack, I start feeling sick again. lol
